Privacy Policy
Effective 2 July 2026
The short version: FrameSnapper collects nothing. The app has no account system, no analytics, no tracking, and no network access at all. Your videos and the frames it exports never leave your Mac.
The app
- All processing happens locally on your Mac. FrameSnapper reads the video files you choose and writes PNG frames to a folder next to them. Nothing is uploaded anywhere, and the app contains no networking code.
- FrameSnapper runs in the macOS App Sandbox. It can only read files you explicitly drop, open, or grant access to through the system permission panel.
- Folder permissions you grant are stored by macOS as security-scoped bookmarks in the app's local container on your Mac. They are never transmitted and are removed if you delete the app.
- Purchases are handled entirely by Apple and the Mac App Store. We receive no personal information about you from your purchase.
This website
framesnapper.app is a static page. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may keep standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP addresses) to operate and secure the service, as any web host does. We do not access or combine these logs with anything.
GDPR
Because FrameSnapper processes no personal data, there is nothing for us to hand over, correct, or delete. If you still have questions or a request, contact the data controller:
Stian Larsen, Larsen Utvikling
stian@larsenutvikling.no
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Norway that is Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.no).
Changes
If a future version of FrameSnapper ever changes any of the above, this page and the app's App Store listing will be updated before that version ships.
